Open Rhinoplasty

You should be at least 15 or 16 years old if you’re a woman, and potentially a few years older for young men, after your nose has stopped growing. Typical recovery time after rhinoplasty takes 6-9 months. Most of the swelling and bruising subsides after about a week when Dr. Srour removes the splint from your nose. At that time, you can usually resume your daily activities, but you need to avoid strenuous activity for several weeks.
You won’t be able to wear eyeglasses immediately after surgery, so you don’t put pressure on your nose as it heals.
